Be Strong and Courageous

In Joshua 1:9, God commands Joshua: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

When Moses died, God told Joshua to take the place of Moses and lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land.

The fact that God told Joshua to be strong and courageous showed that this was no easy task but one with numerous challenges and oppositions.
