Lord, we pray for strength:
I remember when Elijah was running for his life; it got to a point when he said, "Lord, I've had enough. I'm no better than my fathers. Take my life."
You sent an angel to give Elijah food and water, not once but twice. The Bible says Elijah traveled on the strength of that meal for 40 days.
Lord, for as many as are tired and at the point of giving up, I pray that you strengthen them.
Hannah said, "No one can prevail by strength alone." The psalmist says, "The help of man is vain, but through God, we shall do valiantly."
The giants before us won't defeat us, and through your strength, Lord, we will rise above them victoriously.
At the Mount of Olives, Jesus said, "The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." He also said, "Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me, but nevertheless, not my will but your will be done." We know that an angel of the Lord came to strengthen him.
Your angels, Lord, are ministering spirits sent for the assistance of believers. Lord, strengthen us, because apart from you, we can do nothing. Your Word says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Father, we ask for the strength to endure trials, the strength to do your will, the strength to overcome temptations, the strength to run the race set before us, and the strength to navigate through life's storms without drowning.
The Bible says, "The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me."
