Do you remember when king Jehosaphat told God in prayers that they don't have the might to fight the great multitude that came up against them and that they don't know what to do? 2Chronicles 20 verse 12.
Have you ever been in a situation where you felt powerless before whatever was coming against you and didn't know what to do?
Don't feel bad about it because the battle wasn't yours to fight in the first place. "It's not by might or power but by the Spirit of God."

There are times when we encounter circumstances beyond our control and situations that seem hopeless. In those moments worry, fear and confusion tend to cloud our minds.
In 2Chronicles 20, three nations came up together to fight against king Jehosaphat and the people of Judea.
When King Jehosaphat heard about it, he decided to proclaim a fast in all Judea to ask help from the Lord.
It was during the fast and while praying that He told God they don't have the power to fight against the great multitude and they don't know what to do.
It didn't end there, he went on to say but our eyes are on you!
From the statement Jehosaphat made, its clear that His trust was in God and He was looking up to God for help and direction in the face of a ugly situation.
Jehosaphat didn't go to God behaving as if He had it all together or got the situation under control.
He told God the truth about his fear, helplessness and lack of direction and God came through for Him and the people of Judea.
In the face of a ugly situation, don't go to God after all else have failed but go to God first just like Jehosaphat did.
Don't go to God behaving as if you have it all together or got the situation under control, tell God about your fears, worry, helplessness or confusion and trust Him to help and come through for you.
"You are not a burden to God."
In those moments when you feel helpless and don't even know what to do, go to God in prayers and ask for help and direction.
The bible tells us to trust God with all our hearts and acknowledge Him in all our ways and He will direct our paths. Proverbs 3 verse 5 to 6.
The truth is we can't go through life or overcome all of life's battles independent of God. "We need God's help and guidance every moment of our lives."
After king Jehosaphat prayed, the Spirit of the Lord came upon and spoke through one of the Levites in 2Chronicles 20 verse 14.
The Lord told the people of Judea not to be afraid because of the great multitude that had come up against them and that the battle wasn't theirs but God's.
The Lord also told them that they do not need to fight in the battle, all they have to do is set themselves, stand still and see the salvation of God.
God helped king Jehosaphat and the people of Judea to overcome their enemies and gave them direction.
The Bible tells us that God is a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46 verse 1.
In those moments when we may feel helpless, tired or confused in the face of trouble, God is present to strengthen, help and direct us.
The battle you are worrying about wasn't yours to fight in the first place. "Let us learn to call upon God...."
Aside of the fact that King Jehosaphat called upon God for help, he also did something amazing in 2Chronicles 20 verse 21.
While they were matching to the battle front as God directed them, Jehoshaphat appointed singers to sing praises to God.
The Bible tells us that when they began to sing praises, God set ambushment against the nations that came to fight against them and they were self slaughtered. 2Chronies 20 verse 22.
Even as we call upon God in the face of a ugly situation, let us learn to also praise Him.
Don't wait to praise Him after the trouble ends but praise Him in the face of the trouble.
I know it's been a tough season and I know it gets tiring and discouraging at times but I encourage us to call upon God and praise Him in the face of that battle or trouble.
The battle is the Lord's and this too shall pass....
